Salignac VS Cognac was founded in 1809 in Jarnac France by Louis Salignac and is owned by the Courvoisier brand. Salignac is a unique VS in that the cognacs are blended before they are aged. According to Salignac "Most cognacs are blended or as we French say, "Married" after they are aged. But we at Salignac, we marry our young cognacs before ageing. Their years of intermingling in oaken casks allow time to perform its maturing miracle." Taste our secret: The longer the marriage, the mellower the Cognac.
